Over the years, Maple Leaf Hospital have played a key role in improving the health of the communities they serve.
As charitable organization, Maple Leaf hospital no more receive as many donations, contributions and tax exemptions, as it received several decades back to be able to provide benefits including free care back to their communities.
As we leave behind the pandemic struck year 2020, Maple Leaf charitable hospital at Kangra – Dharamshala has undertaken important steps to protect elderly patients – not only from high cost medical care services, but also from caregiving services and by running some free food and shelter services.
To help ensure access to financial assistance for patients of Maple Leaf Hospital Kangra, we have registered our facility under several schemes to be able to organise several no-profit oriented services and practices. The charitable hospital has decided to establish an emergency medical care policy for elderly and develop a financial assistance policy. This endeavour will set up 4 new emergency rooms in the hospital facility.
Maple Leaf Hospital, Kangra has expanded its efforts to assess and address the health needs of the communities we serve. We will adopt implementation strategies to address the community health needs identified. To perform a community health needs assessment, our charitable hospital will conduct and publish a community health needs assessment at least once every three years – and disclose annually the steps it is taking to address the health needs identified in the assessment, and disclose failures to meet these needs.
